Half-Life 2

Every great game has an "Oh My God" moment, half-life 2 however didn't just have the one. It was saturated in them from the gravity gun introduction to the stryders. The most memorable moment has to be when you get your first full on view of the towering citidel.

World Of Warcraft

Can a game be too good? Warcraft absorbed me for close to a year. Combining a wonderful art direction a great sense of achievement and well written content. When I finally shut down my account and left my level 68 warlock behind it was a sad moment. But i guess you have to move on at some stage.

Civilisation 4

Civilisation has to be one of the most successful pc franchises ever to be concieved. This iteration in the series marked a number of significant refinements which only added to the experience and made a excellent game even better.

Dungeon Keeper

One of the first games with the vision to put you in as the bad guy. Nothing better than coming up with new combinations to trap and kill those pesky hero's.

Quake 3 Arena

Who needs storyline when you've got a rocket launcher and plenty of enemies to use it on. Quake 3 was the ultimate multiplayer game at the time. Best played with a slayer album thrashing away relentlessly in the background.
